These time slots agree with when material will be distributed. If you can't come during these times please contact Diane Tasian, volunteer@lwvdallas.org or cell 214 850-7054 to make an appointment.
Required: 12
Description:
Calling all volunteers to deliver Voters Guides and rack cards (formerly known as bookmarks) across Dallas County. The Vote411 process was delayed a bit and we only have 4 days to get the materials distributed if we want them in place by the weekend before Early Voting begins.
Sign up:
- Registering for a time slot gives us a way to communicate with you.
- The time slots will also help us ensure enough Distribution support when you come pick up your bundles.
- The time slots begin at 10, but that may change. If it does I will text you. You will have until 4 pm to come pick up your materials.
- The time slots are only for October 14, and we ask that you deliver the materials by October 17.
- We believe a team of 3 people for each of the 4 quadrants of the county will make this process go smoothly.
- If you would prefer to be a Distribution Support volunteer, please see that volunteer opportunity.
Pick up your bundle(s):
- October 14, at the Oak Lawn Library, Dallas, TX 75219.
- After 4pm on October 14, bundle pick-up will be by appointment at our new office location, Room 109, Bill J. Priest Center - Dallas College, 1402 Corinth Street, Dallas, TX 75215 . Please call/text Diane Tasian, 214 850-7054, or email diane@thetasians.com to arrange a time to meet at our office.
Check out process:
- We are using the same pick up location and process we did for the last election.
- When you come to pick up guides and bookmarks, the cover sheets for the bundle drop-off locations will be sorted into 8 sectors. You will be able to select your delivery area(s) by sector. Cover sheets for each bundle will include the drop-off address and any contact info we have.
- You will hand your selection to volunteers who are pulling the bundles together. Support volunteers will gather your selections and direct you to the check-out table. At the check out table your cover sheet(s) and the bundles are verified. Then we will help you load everything into your vehicle.
Deliveries:
- You choose when to make your deliveries.
- We are hoping to complete deliveries by Friday, October 17, so voters have this information in time for Early Voting. Ballot by Mail voters will have already received their ballots.
If you have any questions, please call/text Diane Tasian, 214-850-7054 or Madge Cruse, 214-728-5599.
