Membership in the League of Women Voters is open to people ages 16 and older. Your membership gives the League the political influence needed to build a voice for citizens and a force for change.

Benefits to You with a Membership

The League of Women Voters of the United State encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

For over 100 years, we have been a nonpartisan, activist, grassroots organization that believes voters should play a critical role in democracy. We do not support or oppose candidates or political parties.

The League of Women Voters of Dallas is a diverse, multigenerational organization. We work together to:

1. Be Informed: Easy online access to programs, publications, and discussions from the US, State and local League.

2. Serve the Community: Register voters, educate the public on Texas election laws, and meet with elected officials.

3. Create Change: Study issues and educate and advocate for our public policy positions.

4. Meet New People: Our members are from every generation and are welcoming, smart, engaging, and hopeful.

5. Develop New Skills: Gain experience in voter services, advocacy, public speaking, and research.

6. Be Active: Be involved to the extent you choose to be.

By joining LWV-Dallas, you automatically become a member of the following Leagues:

You will add your voice to a national organization with over 500,000 members and supporters.

Membership Types for New and Returning Members

For New Members -
Please sign up for a 12-month League membership as an individual, student, or household. Household memberships include discounted dues for a second member who resides at the same address, such as a spouse, partner, child, parent, or roommate. If paying dues is preventing you from initially joining, please complete the combined scholarship and membership application. We award 1 year scholarships for Individual memberships based on funds available. Questions: membershipvp@lwvdallas.org

For Renewing Members -
Please log in to renew your membership for the next 12 months. If paying dues is preventing you from renewing, please email membershipvp@lwvdallas.org. We award 1 year scholarships based on funds available. Lifetime memberships are automatically renewed. For members who would like to make a donation at the Patron Level ($75 donation) or Benefactor Level ($425 donation), please remember to log in, so the donation will be quickly recorded to your account.

Cost for New and Returning Members

Individual	$75.00
Household	$75.00 for primary + $37.50 for a second household member
Student	$5.00

Membership dues and contributions to LWV Dallas, a 501(c)3 organization, are tax-deductible.

Know that your membership dues add to our grassroots strength and our financial resources at the local, state, and national levels.

Tips for Using our Website from ClubExpress

With ClubExpress you will find it easy to join or donate, find details on election information, review issue positions and committee projects, register for monthly events and volunteer opportunities, find other members with similar advocacy interests and much more. Club Express is used by over 100 League leaders across the country, other local Texas Leagues, the State League and in our national office.

A few tips to make ClubExpress easy for you to use:

If you are a current member, you will need to log in to renew your membership.

When you join/renew, you will receive two emails from Club Express: (1) A signup or renewal confirmation email; and (2) a payment confirmation email after the payment has processed.

The signup confirmation email will include a temporary username and password. You can change both the username and password. If you sign-up as a household, your secondary member will get an email with his/her own username and password.

Make sure to login every time you interact with the website. When you do this, you will be able to see the membership directory and have your contact information pre-filled when registering for an event, signing up to volunteer, or making a donation.

If you have issues with updating your username or password, ClubExpress provides dedicated staff to assist you either by phone or email. They are available weekdays by phone from 6:30 am - 9:00 pm CT.

Payment Methods

LWV-Dallas uses PayPal to process our credit, debit, and PayPal transactions. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Amex, and Discover. You do not need to be a current user of PayPal, but you will need to set up an account with them to use your credit or debit cards so PayPal can process the payment to the League. Thank you!

If you join/renew online and prefer to pay by check, please make the check out to “LWV-Dallas” and mail it to LWV-Dallas Office, 6060 N Central Expwy, Ste 500, Dallas, TX 75206.

New members will have access to the Members Login when the payment has cleared. If you would like to request financial assistance with dues or you would like to gift someone a membership, please email membershipvp@lwvdallas.org .
