Citizens at Last: The Woman Suffrage Movement in Texas

The event speaker, Diane Tasian, and panelist will discuss voter's rights, activism to overcome voting inequities, and how past suffrage movements provide a story of hope for the future of democracy.   Ms. Tasian will share her experiences of over 19 years as she carried forth the Leagues’ mission to “Empower Voters. Defend Democracy.”    The title of the presentation is Women’s History: Perseverance and Democracy. A 30-minute, campus-led discussion in partnership with Special Academic Programs (PTK & Honors) will directly follow the 30-minute presentation.
