Discussion with TCRP on Registration through DPS, 5-6PM

Please join us on Thursday, October 21st from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm CT for a special event focused on voter services and voting rights. We have the opportunity for a conversation with:

Hani Mirza
Senior Attorney
Texas Civil Rights Project

Hani Mirza, Senior Attorney with the Texas Civil Rights Project (TCRP) will present the background and successful outcome of their court case forcing Texas to allow voters to register and update their voter registration through the Department of Public Safety (DPS), either in-person or online, whenever they obtain, update, or renew their TX Drivers License.  The news is GOOD!  There will be time for Q&A.

As time permits, we should be able to briefly cover other election and registration issues of common interest to TCRP and LWV.  Specifically, being able to cure additional types of ballot problems, and voter file purging using NCOA database, and potential future projects.
