PRESENTER: Dee Carney is Director of the Texas Center for Voucher Transparency at Our Schools Our Democracy, where she leads efforts to monitor the impact and implementation of Texas’ voucher program on public schools, students, and taxpayers. Dee is a widely respected public education policy expert with more than 30 years of experience as a middle school math teacher, school district administrator, and education policy consultant.

PRESENTER: Carrie Griffith, co-founder and Executive Director of Our Schools Our Democracy, brings nearly 30 years of service in public education. Prior to OSOD, Carrie worked as a classroom teacher and served as the Senior Policy Specialist and Teaching and Learning Specialist at the Texas State Teachers Association. At TSTA, Carrie represented Texas educators in policy discussions at the Texas capitol, at the State Board of Education, the State Board for Educator Certification, and in multiple state and national stakeholder coalitions.
