Volunteer Opportunities

We have many opportunities to volunteer and help register voters leading up to the voter registration deadline on October 7! Some of our volunteer opportunities are listed here, please visit our Volunteer page for the entire list.

Voter Registration at Dallas College Campuses: Eastfield Campus September 13th; El Centro Campus September 17th & 23rd; Richland Campus on September 13th

Voter Registration at Cedar Ridge Nature Preserve: on September 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 28th, 29th, & October 5th

Senior Voter Services:

September 6th at Five Star Premier Residence

September 12th at Le Reve Rehab

September 17th at Juliette Fowler

Check your voter registration status. If your registration has been suspended or purged, you can re-register or update your information until October 7th, which is the last day to register to vote.
If you need to register or update your registration, find out how on our website.
If eligible, apply for a ballot by mail.

In Remembrance

Richard Marcus

May 23, 1941 - August 20, 2024

We offer remembrance and thanks to Richard Marcus, an unwavering community organizer and founder of March to the Polls. Richard received our Eleanor Sutherland Volunteer Award in 2018 to honor his tireless efforts. He will be dearly missed by his community in North Texas.

Become a Volunteer Deputy Registrar

Dallas County invites individuals to join its Volunteer Deputy Registrar (VDR) Program to support voter registration. VDRs play a crucial role by helping people officially register to vote. Learn more about the qualifications, duties, and procedures of becoming a VDR here.

There are multiple upcoming VDR training sessions in August and September. You can sign up for one here.

Spanish is a huge asset for voter engagement!

Are you a LWV member or voter services volunteer who speaks Spanish and would like to become a Volunteer Deputy Registrar (VDR)? We want your help to increase Latino voter registration and turnout. Norma Arratia is coordinating with Dallas County Elections to create a VDR training in Spanish over the summer. If you are fluent in Spanish please reach out to Norma at narratia227@gmail.com if you are interested in the Spanish VDR training.

There are treasures in the attic!

There are treasures in the back of your closets. There are treasures in the basement (if you are fortunate enough to have one).

The League of Women Voters of Dallas Annual Award Luncheon and Silent Auction can turn those treasures into much-needed gold coins to support our Mission.
