Critical Dates for the November 7 Election

October 10 - Last day to register or change your address to be eligible to vote

October 23 - First day to vote early in person

October 27 - Last day to apply for vote by mail ballot

November 3 - Last day of early voting in person

November 7 - Election Day and vote by mail ballot receipt deadline

According to U.S. Census data from 2020, as many as 1 in 4 eligible Americans are not registered to vote. Every year, millions of Americans find themselves unable to vote because they miss a registration deadline, don’t update their registration, or aren’t sure how to register.

The printed copies of these Voters Guide in English and Spanish will be mailed to local libraries and the Dallas League on October 8.

LWVD Unit Meetings

October's Topic - School Vouchers

Our unit meetings are designed for smaller groups of people to get together to discuss a certain topic, and we often have a speaker. Please come and meet other Leaguers to talk about important issues of the day.

The Tuesday and Thursday Meetings are scheduled for 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Tuesday, October 17: Hudson House Restaurant, 4040 Abrams Rd., Dallas

Thursday, October 19: La Hacienda Ranch, 17390 Preston Rd., Dallas, 75252.

The Wednesday Meeting is scheduled for 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM

Wednesday, October 18: at the home of Dr. Harryette Ehrhardt, 3525 Turtle

Creek Blvd., Apartment 8A, Dallas, TX.

Volunteer Opportunities

October 4 - Preston Forest Branch of the Dallas Public Library

October 8 - New Hope Baptist Church
