                                                                     Take Action

“Thank you, Eileen Rosenblum, for researching this important and useful information,

      and sharing it with us!

      Diane Tasian, President”

THIS IS IMPORTANT and doesn’t take much time to do! Please contact the members of the House Public

Education Committee ask them to VOTE NO on SB 8. Most offices are just taking a tally and won’t ask for

your name (in Dutton’s office last night, I was caller #138 – they didn’t ask for my name).

The members of the House Public Education Committee that need to receive calls are listed below:

CALL THESE OFFICES – TELL THEM TO VOTE NO ON SENATE BILL 8 (These guys are on the fence!):

SCRIPT: I’d like to leave a message for _______________ regarding Senate Bill 8. My name is _______________

and I am asking that you vote NO on Senate Bill 8. Thank you.

THANK these committee members who DO NOT SUPPORT vouchers (They voted FOR the

anti-voucher amendment!)

SCRIPT: I’d like to leave a message for _______________ to thank him/her for their stand against

vouchers and Senate Bill 8.

IF ASKED, here are key messages to share:

  • ESAs provide no assurances that taxpayer dollars will be managed appropriately and in the best interest of students
  • The fast-rising net cost of ESAs will make fewer dollars available for all public schools across Texas
  • Private and home schools receiving taxpayer-funded ESAs would not be subject to the same test in requirements and
other accountable measures used to evaluate public schools

Phone calls are encouraged, and so are emails. If you are looking for a quick and easy way to get your point across about SB 8, please

feel free to use and share the link below with others in your community and social media network.
