Part 1: Are you registered to vote? Do you have photo ID?

Registration for new voters or changes for existing voters ended Monday, October 5th, 2020 for the 2020 General/Presidential election. Register now so you can vote in 2021.

Part 2: Will you be voting in person or by "ballot by mail"?

Dates/Times for Voting in Person

Tuesday,  Nov. 3, 7am - 7pm
Dallas voters may vote at any polling location in Dallas County.

Due Dates for Voting by Mail (and submitting by either mail or by hand)

LWV-Dallas recommends returning your "ballot by Mail" via drive -thru yourself between now and Election Day - Tues.,  November 3, 7pm

LWV-Dallas does not recommend mailing your ballot via U.S. Mail within 5 days of election day.  You may pay Fed Ex / UPS (or similar common carrier) or courier service to deliver your sealed ballot. Your ballot will need to show proof that it was given to the company before 7pm today (Nov. 3) and the company must deliver it before 5pm tomorrow (Nov. 4). 

Part 3: Research your ballot before you vote.

Use the online Vote411 or printed Voters Guides from League of Women Voters for nonpartisan Q&A with candidates on your ballot.  No phones are allowed at the polls, so print out or make a list of your selections.
